Description

A luxurious yet simple miso butter glaze elevates salmon fillets into a gourmet dish that pleases all palates, perfect for weeknight dinners or special gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3 tablespoons white miso paste
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ginger (grated)
  • 1-2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons green onions (sliced thin)

Instructions

  1. Combine the softened butter, miso paste, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and green onions in a medium-sized bowl. Mix well until the ingredients blend smoothly.
  2. Equally divide the miso butter on top of each salmon fillet, spreading it over the entire piece.
  3. Oven Preparation: Preheat the oven to 375°F. Arrange the salmon fillets in a large skillet or baking dish. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the salmon is opaque and nearly done. Broil on high for an additional 1-2 minutes until the top begins to caramelize.
  4. Air Fryer Preparation: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper or foil. Place salmon fillets inside and cook for 9-10 minutes without turning.
  5. Once cooked, place the salmon onto a platter, drizzle any remaining miso butter on top, and garnish with additional green onions.

Notes

For extra richness, consider adding a drizzle of sesame oil to the miso butter. Prepare the miso butter in advance for convenience.
