- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) vanilla extract, 2g

Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, blend together the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Pour in the warmed almond milk, melted vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Stir until a pliable dough is achieved.
- On a surface dusted with flour, knead the dough for roughly 5 minutes until it is smooth and stretchy.
- Transfer the dough into a bowl that has been lightly oiled, cover it with a kitchen towel, and allow it to rise in a warm spot for approximately 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
- After it has risen, deflate the dough and roll it out on a floured surface until it’s about half an inch thick.
- Use a donut cutter or a large round cutter along with a smaller one for the centers to shape the donuts.
- Arrange the donuts and holes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover them and let them rise again for another 20-30 minutes.
- Set your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) to preheat.
- Gently spray or brush the donuts with oil. (Avocado oil is recommended, but any cooking oil will do)
- Depending on your air fryer’s capacity, cook 3 to 5 donuts at a time, ensuring there’s space between them, for about 5-6 minutes until they are golden brown.
- Take them out and allow them to cool slightly on a wire rack.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the powdered sugar, almond milk, and vanilla extract until the glaze is smooth.
- Submerge each donut into the glaze, letting any extra drip off.
- Set them on a rack, add toppings if wished, and let the glaze firm up for around 10–15 minutes.
Notes
- Try using maple syrup or almond extract for a richer flavor in the dough
- Experiment with various plant-based milks for a unique taste and texture
- Sprinkle crushed nuts on top of glazed donuts for added crunch
