Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh fish fillets (such as tilapia or snapper), diced
- 1 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 cup cucumber, diced
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 1-2 jalapeños, seeded and minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the diced fish and lime juice. Ensure that the fish is fully immersed in the juice.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for about 30 minutes or until the fish becomes opaque.
- After 30 minutes, add the finely chopped red onion, diced tomatoes, cucumber, chopped cilantro, and minced jalapeños to the fish mixture.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix all the ingredients well.
- Serve chilled as an appetizer or with tortilla chips.
