Ingredients
- 4 cod fillets
- 2 lemons, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the cod fillets in a baking dish and drizzle them with olive oil.
- Season the fillets with salt, black pepper, and oregano.
- Arrange lemon slices on top of the cod.
- Sprinkle minced garlic evenly over the fillets.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For extra moisture, consider adding lemon slices underneath the fillets and using a meat thermometer to ensure cod is cooked perfectly at 145°F (63°C).
