A luxurious blend of creamy cheese sauce, macaroni, and succulent lobster meat, perfect for any special occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 lb elbow macaroni
- 1 lb cooked lobster meat (chopped)
- 4 cups milk
- 8 tbsp butter
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups grated Gruyère cheese
- 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook the elbow macaroni until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Melt 8 tbsp of butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, add ½ cup of all-purpose flour and whisk well until combined.
- Gradually pour in 4 cups of milk while stirring continuously. Cook until the mixture becomes smooth and thick.
- Add both cheeses (2 cups of grated Gruyère and 2 cups of grated cheddar) to the saucepan. Stir until the cheese melts completely and blends into the creamy mixture.
- Fold in 1 lb of chopped lobster meat and the cooked elbow macaroni. Mix until everything is well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of breadcrumbs on top for a crunchy finish.
- Bake for 25 minutes, or until the top turns golden brown and the edges bubble.
Notes
Serve piping hot for best flavor. For a touch of spice, consider adding paprika or cayenne pepper.
