Description

A comforting and sophisticated blend of rich cheeses and fresh lobster over perfectly cooked elbow macaroni, topped with a crispy breadcrumb crust.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked lobster meat, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute.
  3. Whisk in the milk gradually, cooking until the mixture thickens.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in cheddar cheese until melted.
  5. Mix in the cooked macaroni and lobster meat.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika if using.
  7. Pour into a baking dish and top with bread crumbs if desired.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.

Notes

For added creaminess, consider mixing in a dollop of cream cheese with the cheddar.
