Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) melted beef tallow
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) minced garlic
  • 2 (170 g) fillets center-cut salmon fillets with skin
  • 1/4 tsp (1.25 ml) lemon-pepper seasoning
  • 1/8 tsp (0.625 ml) dried parsley
  • cooking spray
  • 3 thin slices lemon, cut in half

Instructions

  1. Start by setting the air fryer to heat up to 390°F (200°C).
  2. In a small dish, mix together the melted beef tallow and minced garlic.
  3. Rinse the salmon fillets, pat them dry with a paper towel, then coat them with the tallow mixture. Sprinkle lemon-pepper seasoning and dried parsley evenly over them.
  4. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange the salmon fillets in the basket with the skin facing downwards, placing three lemon slices on each fillet.
  5. Cook in the warmed air fryer for 8 to 10 minutes. Once done, take the fillets out and allow them to rest for 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use olive oil instead of beef tallow for a lighter flavor.
  • Pat the salmon fillets dry before coating for a crispy skin.
  • Experiment with dill or paprika for a unique twist.
