Description

Crispy fish bites coated in lemon butter, served with a creamy garlic aioli.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh white fish fillets (cod, tilapia, or haddock)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • Lemon zest for garnish
  • Fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the fish fillets dry using paper towels and slice them into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a shallow dish, whisk together the flour, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  3. Dredge each fish piece in the flour mixture until evenly coated.
  4. Heat the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat until it becomes hot and sizzles.
  5. Add the floured fish bites to the skillet, cooking for about 3 to 4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Transfer the cooked fish to a paper towel-lined plate to help absorb any excess grease.
  7. Drizzle the cooked fish with fresh lemon juice for that vibrant flavor.
  8. For the garlic aioli, mix the mayonnaise, minced garlic, and lemon juice in a separate bowl.
  9. Plate the fish bites, garnish with lemon zest and parsley, and serve with garlic aioli for dipping.

Notes

Use high-quality fresh fish for the best results. Experiment with seasonings for a twist.
