Description

Discover how to make delicious Keto Salmon Bites using an air fryer. This easy recipe is perfect for a healthy and flavorful meal or snack!

Ingredients

  • 454 g (1 lb) salmon, skinless, cubed
  • 88 ml (6 tbsp) soy sauce
  • 60 g (4 tbsp) brown sugar substitute
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) chili sauce

Instructions

  1. Ensure there is no skin on the salmon. If present, remove it. Cut the salmon into large chunks about 1 inch each and place them in a big bowl.
  2. In another smaller bowl, mix the soy sauce, brown sugar substitute, and chili sauce. Pour this mixture over the salmon chunks and stir to coat them well. Allow them to marinate for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Lightly spray the air fryer basket. Arrange the salmon chunks in a single layer without overlapping. Set the air fryer to 400°F and cook for 5-8 minutes.
  4. At the 5-minute mark, check if the salmon chunks are golden and cooked through. If not, continue cooking for a few more minutes. Adjust the time as needed. Ensure the internal temperature is between 135°F – 145°F with a meat thermometer.
  5. Remove and serve immediately. Store any leftovers in a sealed container.
  6. These bites can also be served as a keto-friendly appetizer. Alternatively, place them on a salad with cilantro and an Asian-style dressing, or mix with mayo, green onions, celery, and sliced almonds for a salmon salad.

Notes

  • Cut the salmon into large, uniform chunks for even cooking in the air fryer.
  • Adjust marinating time to control flavor intensity – longer for bold taste, shorter for subtle.
  • Flip salmon halfway through cooking for a crispy outer layer; customize with varied sauces or seasonings.
