A flavorful twist on traditional burgers using ground chicken, aromatic herbs, and creamy feta, paired with refreshing tzatziki sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Chicken (93% lean)
- 1/2 cup Feta Cheese (or goat cheese)
- 1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
- 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley (or dill)
- 1 tsp Dried Oregano
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper (freshly ground)
- 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp Lemon Zest
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs (or almond flour for gluten-free)
- 1 large Egg
- 1 cup Tzatziki Sauce
- 2 cups Fresh Vegetables (lettuce, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers)
- 4 pieces Buns or Pita (whole grain or gluten-free)
Instructions
- Combine ground chicken, feta cheese, onion, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes in a large bowl.
- Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice, breadcrumbs, and egg until thoroughly mixed.
- Divide mixture into four equal portions and shape into patties.
- Preheat grill or skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
- Cook each patty for about 5-6 minutes per side until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a chicken patty on a bun or pita, topping with tzatziki sauce and fresh vegetables.
Notes
