Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (like bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots)
- Green onions, for garnish
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- Whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
- Add shrimp to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Let them marinate for about 15 minutes.
- While marinating, prepare the rice according to package directions and set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the shrimp in a single layer and sauté for about 3-4 minutes, flipping halfway through, until pink and opaque.
- Steam or sauté the mixed vegetables until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Assemble by placing rice in each bowl, then topping with shrimp and vegetables. Drizzle extra marinade if desired.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
Notes
Adjust the marinade with lime juice for brightness or add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
