Description

Easy and delicious honey garlic shrimp bowls featuring marinated shrimp, vibrant vegetables, and fluffy rice.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (like bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots)
  • Green onions, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish


Instructions

  1. Whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
  2. Add shrimp to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Let them marinate for about 15 minutes.
  3. While marinating, prepare the rice according to package directions and set aside.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the shrimp in a single layer and sauté for about 3-4 minutes, flipping halfway through, until pink and opaque.
  5. Steam or sauté the mixed vegetables until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Assemble by placing rice in each bowl, then topping with shrimp and vegetables. Drizzle extra marinade if desired.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust the marinade with lime juice for brightness or add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
