Description

A flavorful and simple dish of salmon with a creamy, sweet, and spicy sauce, perfect for busy families.

Ingredients

  • 2 fillets of salmon (or halibut/trout)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (or avocado oil)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt)
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1-2 tablespoons Sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (or cilantro)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F or heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry, then season them with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Heat olive or avocado oil in your skillet. Sear the salmon skin-side down for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Gently flip the fillets and transfer your skillet or place the salmon onto a baking sheet if baking.
  5. Bake for about 5-7 minutes until the salmon becomes cooked through and flaky.
  6. While the salmon cooks, prepare the sauce by mixing mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, and honey or maple syrup (if using), along with rice vinegar or lime juice.
  7. Once the salmon is ready, drizzle the sauce over the fillets, and sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds for presentation.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Experiment with different proteins and herbs for variations.
