Description

Learn how to make Instant Pot garlic roasted melting potatoes with this easy recipe. Perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Try it now!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 pound (454 g) beef, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch (1.25 cm) slices
  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) ground thyme
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) ground black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and lightly crushed

Instructions

  1. Activate a multi-functional pressure cooker by choosing the Sauté mode. Heat the vegetable oil in the pot. Arrange the beef slices in a single layer and cook in the oil until they turn golden, approximately 5 minutes. Turn them over and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Take out the beef and set it aside.
  2. Insert the trivet into the pot. Add the chicken broth, then sprinkle in the ground thyme, salt, and black pepper. Introduce the garlic and let it cook for 1 minute. Place the beef slices on the trivet; close and secure the lid. Opt for high pressure following the manufacturer’s guidelines; set the timer for 1 minute.
  3. Carefully release the pressure using the quick-release technique as per the manufacturer’s instructions, which takes about 5 minutes. Unlock and lift the lid. Remove the beef from the pot.
  4. Select the Sauté mode again and cook the chicken broth and oil mixture until it reduces slightly, about 2 minutes. Return the beef slices to the pot in a single layer. Continue cooking until they are golden, around 3 minutes on each side.

Notes

  • Consider enhancing the flavor by marinating the beef slices in a mixture of soy sauce, garlic, and ginger.
  • Add a touch of heat by sprinkling red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper on the beef slices before cooking.
  • Customize the dish by experimenting with herbs and spices like rosemary, paprika, or cumin for a unique flavor profile.
