Ingredients
- 2 Carrots (300g) medium carrots cut into 2-inch chunks. Slice them thinner into “French-fry” shape sticks. You can also use baby carrots and slice them in half lengthwise.
- 1 Tablespoon (15ml) Oil Extra Virgin Olive oil or vegetable oil
- Salt + Pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon (5g) seasoning seasoning of choice. I use the Organic Veggie blend to season my carrots and Roast Vegetables and Fries Spice Blend. Feel free to use other spices like garlic, onion powder, paprika, thyme, chipotle and so on.
- Vegetable oil spray.
- 1 Tablespoon (15ml) Fresh chopped parsley optional
- 1 Tablespoon (15ml) Balsamic Glaze Optional
Instructions
- Set your air fryer to a temperature of 380°F (190°C). Clean and peel the carrots, then slice them to your preferred shape. They can be cut into 2-inch pieces or thinner sticks resembling French fries. For baby carrots, they can be used immediately or halved lengthwise. Larger carrots should be sliced into uniform sizes.
- In a bowl, drizzle the carrots with oil and your chosen seasoning blend. Mix thoroughly to ensure they are evenly coated.
- Apply a light layer of spray oil to the air fryer basket or tray.
- Lay the carrot pieces on the air fryer basket or tray, ensuring they are spaced apart to avoid overlapping.
- Cook for a duration of 10-15 minutes, making sure to shake or stir them halfway through. The exact cooking time varies based on your air fryer, carrot size, and preferred level of crispiness. Continue until they have a golden-brown color with crispy edges.
- Once finished, the carrots should be soft with caramelized areas and a pleasing crunch. Taste, and add a touch of salt if you wish. Garnish with fresh parsley and savor your dish!
Notes
- Add a dash of garlic powder or paprika to the seasoning mix for extra flavor.
- Drizzle balsamic glaze over the roasted carrots to enhance their sweetness.
- Check and adjust seasoning halfway through cooking for optimal taste.
