Description

A delightful blend of crispy shrimp, creamy sauce, and crunchy candied walnuts, embodying the essence of comfort food.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp (fresh or frozen, tail-on or off)
  • 1 cup walnuts (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, honey, sweetened condensed milk, and lemon juice to create the sauce. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, toss the shrimp with cornstarch and a pinch of salt, then dip them in beaten egg.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the shrimp until golden and crispy.
  4. In a separate pan, candy the walnuts with honey until they are crunchy.
  5. Toss the fried shrimp with the creamy sauce and the candied walnuts. Serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure oil is hot enough before frying and do not overcrowd the pan. Store leftover sauce separately from the shrimp.
