Description
A delightful honey salmon dish featuring a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors, easy to prepare for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place a baking sheet or oven-safe dish in the oven to heat up while you prepare the salmon.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.
- Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the salmon fillets, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Season the fillets with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper, rubbing the seasoning evenly over the surface of the fish.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice.
- Stir the mixture well until the honey is fully dissolved and the ingredients are evenly combined.
- Place the salmon fillets on the preheated baking sheet or in the oven-safe dish, skin-side down if applicable.
- Spoon or brush the honey mixture generously over the top of each salmon fillet, allowing some to drizzle down the sides.
- Bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork. Check periodically to avoid overcooking.
- Once done, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of freshly chopped parsley over the top just before serving. Serve immediately, paired with your favorite side dishes.
Notes
Use a thermometer to check for doneness (145°F or 63°C). Customize the honey glaze with chili flakes or fresh ginger for added flavor.
