  • 1 pound cod fillets
  • 2 tablespoons liquid honey
  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Pat the cod fillets dry using paper towels. Season both sides with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, combine honey, low-sodium soy sauce, and minced garlic to create the glaze.
  3. Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  4. Add the seasoned cod fillets to the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they develop a golden crust.
  5. Once you flip the fillets, brush the honey glaze over the top. Allow it to caramelize slightly, enhancing the flavor and appearance of the cod.
