Description

Learn how to make delicious honey glazed air fryer carrots with this easy recipe. Perfectly crispy and sweet, these carrots are a must-try side dish!

Ingredients

  • 1 kg (1000 g) medium-sized carrots
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) honey
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
  • 1-2 sprigs of fresh thyme leaves only
  • A pinch of salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. Rinse and peel the carrots before slicing them into sticks of equal size for uniform cooking.
  2. Set your air fryer to preheat at 200°C (390°F) for 5 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the carrot sticks with honey, olive oil, salt, pepper, thyme leaves, and garlic powder. Adjust the taste as needed.
  4. Mix thoroughly to ensure the carrots are evenly covered in the honey mixture and seasonings.
  5. Arrange the coated carrots in a single layer inside the air fryer basket.
  6. Air fry the carrots at 180°C (350°F) for 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway to promote even cooking. The carrots should be soft and slightly caramelized.
  7. Garnish with additional fresh thyme before serving.

Notes

  • Drizzle extra honey on carrots before air frying for a sweeter taste.
  • Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for evenly cooked, crispy carrots.
  • Experiment with herbs like rosemary or parsley for a unique flavor, or try adding grated parmesan cheese for a savory twist.
