Ingredients
- 12 oz. salmon (cut into 2-3 fillet strips)
- Salt
- Black pepper
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon warm water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 lemon (sliced into wedges)
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Instructions
- Season the salmon’s surface with salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Allow it to sit to soak up the flavors.
- Mix honey with warm water, apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice), and a pinch of salt in a bowl to create a glaze.
- Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat. Add olive oil, then pan-fry the salmon skin side down for 1 minute. Flip the fillets and cook for another minute.
- Add minced garlic to the pan, sautéing until browned.
- Pour in the honey mixture and add lemon wedges. Cook until the glaze reduces and becomes sticky.
- Broil in the oven for one minute until the surface chars slightly for added flavor.
