Description
A quick and flavorful honey garlic salmon recipe that the whole family will love, perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 3 tbsp honey
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger (optional)
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, Dijon mustard (if using), lemon juice, and grated ginger (if using) until well combined.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip the salmon fillets and pour the honey garlic sauce over them. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, spooning the sauce over the salmon occasionally until cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Once cooked, remove the salmon from the skillet and spoon the remaining sauce over the top before serving immediately.
Notes
For a more intense flavor, marinate the salmon in the honey garlic mixture for at least 30 minutes before cooking. If you want a thicker sauce, let it simmer a bit longer.
