Description
Learn how to make delicious Honey Garlic Salmon Bites in the Air Fryer with this easy recipe. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside – a perfect appetizer!
Ingredients
- 2 Salmon Fillets (5-8 oz each) (140-225g each)
- 45 ml Soy Sauce
- 80 ml Agave Nectar
- 4 Garlic Cloves (or 1/2 tsp (3 ml) garlic powder, plus more to taste) minced
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 5 ml Red Crushed Pepper optional
Instructions
- Slice the salmon into uniform, small chunks to ensure even cooking.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, agave nectar, and minced garlic. Drizzle half of this mixture over the salmon chunks and season with salt, pepper, and red crushed peppers. If you have time, allow the salmon to sit in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Cover your air fryer basket with foil for easier cleaning later. Lightly coat with oil to prevent sticking.
- Set the air fryer to 400°F and let it heat up for 3 minutes.
- Brush the salmon with the remaining sauce.
- Arrange the salmon pieces in the air fryer, ensuring there is space between each one. Cook for 8 minutes, turning them gently halfway through the cooking time. The salmon is ready when it develops a caramelized crust and flakes easily with a fork. For safety, check that the internal temperature reaches 145°F using an instant-read thermometer.
- Pair with your favorite accompaniments and savor the meal!
Notes
- Enhance the garlic flavor by adding more minced garlic or garlic powder to the marinade.
- Adjust the sweetness by increasing the amount of agave nectar in the marinade to suit your taste.
- Add extra red crushed pepper for a spicier kick in the marinade or sprinkle some on top before air frying.
