Ingredients
- – 1 pound (450 g) skinless salmon filet, cut into 1-inch cubes
- – salt and pepper, to taste
- – 1/2 cup (120 ml) soy sauce
- – 1/2 cup (120 ml) honey
- – 3 cloves garlic, minced
- – juice of one lemon
Instructions
- Slice the skinless salmon filet into cubes measuring one inch each and sprinkle them with salt and pepper according to your taste.
- In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Mix thoroughly until well blended. Set aside 2 tablespoons of this mixture for brushing on the salmon while it cooks.
- Immerse the salmon pieces in the remaining marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Allow them to soak for 20 minutes.
- Arrange the marinated salmon chunks in the air fryer. Set the temperature to 390 degrees Fahrenheit and cook for 3 minutes.
- Pause the air fryer, apply the reserved marinade over the salmon pieces, then continue cooking for another 3 minutes. Ensure that the salmon reaches an internal heat of 125-130 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Serve the salmon alongside rice and a selection of vegetables for a complete meal.
Notes
- Marinate the salmon in the soy sauce, honey, garlic, and lemon juice mixture for up to 1 hour for a more intense flavor.
- Brush the reserved marinade on the salmon halfway through cooking to boost the taste and keep it juicy.
- Adjust the air fryer cooking time based on the salmon cubes’ thickness to ensure they are perfectly cooked.
