Ingredients
- 4 white fish fillets (cod, tilapia, or halibut)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup hot honey
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season both sides of the white fish fillets with salt and pepper.
- Dredge the fillets in flour and shake off any excess.
- Heat a large, oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the hot honey and unsalted butter, allowing them to melt together.
- Incorporate the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add the flour-coated fish fillets to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, chives, and thyme, serving with lemon wedges.
Notes
Consider marinating the fish in hot honey for 30 minutes prior to cooking for added flavor. Monitor fish closely while baking to avoid overcooking.
