Description
A quick and flavorful honey butter salmon recipe that transforms an ordinary meal into an extraordinary feast, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- Fresh thyme for garnish
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line your baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each fillet. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice until well combined.
- Generously brush the honey-butter glaze over the top and sides of each salmon fillet, reserving about a quarter of the glaze for later.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, brushing the salmon with the reserved glaze halfway through cooking.
- Check the salmon for doneness; it should flake easily with a fork and reach an internal temperature of 145°F.
- While the salmon bakes, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the trimmed green beans and cook for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain and toss with some butter, salt, and pepper.
- Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for 2-3 minutes. Transfer each fillet to a serving plate, drizzle with any remaining glaze, and garnish with fresh thyme and parsley.
- Serve alongside the green beans.
Notes
For added flavor, consider marinating the salmon in the honey-butter glaze for up to an hour before baking. Different herbs can be used based on personal preference.
