Description

A quick and flavorful honey butter salmon recipe that transforms an ordinary meal into an extraordinary feast, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • Fresh thyme for garnish
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line your baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each fillet. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice until well combined.
  4. Generously brush the honey-butter glaze over the top and sides of each salmon fillet, reserving about a quarter of the glaze for later.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, brushing the salmon with the reserved glaze halfway through cooking.
  6. Check the salmon for doneness; it should flake easily with a fork and reach an internal temperature of 145°F.
  7. While the salmon bakes, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the trimmed green beans and cook for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain and toss with some butter, salt, and pepper.
  8. Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for 2-3 minutes. Transfer each fillet to a serving plate, drizzle with any remaining glaze, and garnish with fresh thyme and parsley.
  9. Serve alongside the green beans.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the salmon in the honey-butter glaze for up to an hour before baking. Different herbs can be used based on personal preference.
