Description

Learn how to make delicious Homemade Air Fryer Potato Cakes with this easy recipe. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside – a perfect side dish!

Ingredients

  • 2 cup (480 ml) s cold mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup (240 ml) shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s all-purpose flour
  • 1 small egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Mix together the cold mashed potatoes, shredded Cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, and flour in a mixing bowl; ensure they are well blended. Add in the beaten egg and incorporate thoroughly.
  2. Warm up the air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 10 minutes.
  3. Shape the mixture into 6 round cakes and arrange them on a baking tray. Place the tray in the freezer for a brief 10-minute chill while the air fryer is heating.
  4. Arrange the patties in the air fryer’s basket, being careful not to overcrowd them. Let them cook without disturbance for 12 minutes. Repeat the process for the remaining patties.

Notes

  • Add a touch of garlic powder or paprika to the potato mixture for enhanced flavor.
  • Preheat the air fryer thoroughly for crispy and golden-brown potato cakes.
  • Spray the air fryer basket lightly with cooking oil to prevent sticking.
