Description

Learn how to make delicious and healthy Maple Mustard Air Fryer Chicken Wings that are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Perfect for a guilt-free indulgence!

Ingredients

  • – 12 chicken drumettes (12 drumettes)
  • – 1/4 cup beef mustard (60 ml)
  • – 3 tablespoons honey (45 ml)
  • – 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (30 g)
  • – 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (2.5 ml)
  • – 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (2.5 ml)
  • – 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (2.5 ml)

Instructions

  1. Set your air fryer to 400 degrees F to warm up.
  2. Place the chicken drumettes into the air fryer basket and let them cook for 8 minutes.
  3. Turn the drumettes over and continue cooking for another 8 minutes.
  4. Check if the wings are crispy and thoroughly cooked; if not, give them an extra 2 minutes.
  5. As the wings cook, heat beef mustard, honey, vegetable oil, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and kosher salt in a 12-inch pan over medium warmth.
  6. Once warmed, take the mixture off the heat.
  7. Coat the cooked wings in the warm honey mustard blend by tossing them together.
  8. For more spice, sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

  • Marinate chicken drumettes in honey mustard mixture for 30 minutes for added flavor.
  • Adjust cayenne pepper to taste, more for spice, less for milder flavor.
  • Pat dry chicken drumettes before air frying for a crispier texture; serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
