Description

This vibrant Hawaiian garlic shrimp recipe combines fresh ingredients and bold flavors to transport you to paradise with every bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs. medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 ½ tsp. paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil, divided
  • 8 Tbsp. unsalted butter, divided
  • 6 tsp. minced garlic

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 Tbsp. of olive oil and 6 Tbsp. of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté it until it turns golden brown.
  2. Pour the garlic sauce into a bowl to keep it warm while you prepare the shrimp.
  3. Toss the shrimp with flour, paprika, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl. Ensure they are well-coated.
  4. Return to the skillet, adding the remaining olive oil along with 2 Tbsp. of butter. Once melted and sizzling, add the shrimp in a single layer.
  5. Cook the shrimp for 3-4 minutes on each side. Look for that vibrant pink color and a slight golden edge.
  6. Return the garlic sauce back to the skillet, tossing the shrimp to ensure they are coated before serving over sticky rice.

Notes

For the best results, use high-quality, fresh shrimp. Adjust the seasoning based on personal preference, and consider adding vegetables or spices for a twist.
