Ingredients
- Pâte feuilletée (puff pastry)
- Jambon tranché (sliced ham)
- Fromage (cheddar or Swiss cheese)
- Œuf (egg for egg wash)
- Poivre (pepper) to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Roll out the pâte feuilletée on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut the rolled-out pastry into rectangles measuring roughly 4×6 inches.
- Place a slice of jambon tranché and a slice of fromage on each rectangle.
- Fold the pastry over the filling and seal the edges thoroughly.
- Brush the surface of each pastry with the œuf.
- Arrange the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve hot.
Notes
For added flavor, consider incorporating a dash of mustard or herbs into the filling.
