Ingredients
- 1 octopus (about 2-3 pounds)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Clean the octopus and remove the beak and ink sac. Rinse thoroughly.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the octopus for about 45 minutes to 1 hour until tender.
- Remove the octopus from the pot and let it cool slightly.
- Cut the tentacles into manageable pieces.
- Mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Marinate the octopus pieces in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill the marinated octopus for about 3-4 minutes on each side until charred.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.
Notes
Marinating overnight can enhance the flavor. Skewering smaller pieces can prevent them from slipping through the grill grates.
