Description

A simple yet flavorful recipe for grilled octopus, marinated with lemon and garlic, perfect for impressing family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 1 octopus (about 2 pounds)
  • 2 lemons (juiced)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the octopus and cook for about 30 minutes until tender. Remove and let cool.
  3. In a bowl, mix lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Once cool enough to handle, remove the skin and beak from the octopus.
  5. Cut the octopus into tentacles and marinate in the lemon mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  7. Grill the octopus for about 3-4 minutes on each side until charred.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For flavor variations, consider adding herbs like oregano or thyme to the marinade. Ensure your grill is preheated to prevent sticking.
