- 30 ml honey
- 15 ml freshly grated ginger
- 30 ml Soy Sauce
- 5 ml vegetarian oyster sauce
- 45 ml Japanese mayo
- Salt and pepper
- 5 ml honey
- 5 ml Soy Sauce
- 5 ml freshly grated ginger
- 60 ml water
- 15 g corn starch
- 30 ml cold water
Instructions
- Coat the salmon pieces with honey, grated ginger, soy sauce, vegetarian oyster sauce, Japanese mayo, along with a pinch of salt and pepper, and let sit for 20 minutes.
- Cook in an air fryer at 380°F for 12 minutes, turning the pieces over halfway through the cooking time.
- Optional: Prepare a honey glaze to pour over the salmon by combining soy sauce, honey, ginger, and water in a saucepan. Heat on medium-high until it starts to bubble, which should take 2-3 minutes. Mix corn starch with cold water, add it to the saucepan to thicken the glaze, and let it cook for another minute.
- Pour the glaze over the salmon and finish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
Notes
- Marinate salmon in a blend of honey, ginger, soy sauce, and vegetarian oyster sauce for enhanced flavor and tenderness.
- Incorporate Japanese mayo for a creamy texture and added succulence to the salmon.
- Adjust honey quantity in the saucepan mixture for a sweeter and stickier glaze based on personal preference.
