Description

A simple yet flavorful garlic tilapia dish that’s quick to prepare, making it perfect for any weekday meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 tilapia fillets (approximately 150 g each)
  • 4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup of fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon of paprika (optional, for color)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon slices for serving (optional)


Instructions

  1. Rinse and dry tilapia fillets thoroughly with paper towels.
  2. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika, if using.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add butter and let it melt.
  4. Add the chopped garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until golden and fragrant. Remove the garlic and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the tilapia fillets.
  6. Cook over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and fish flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Return the garlic to the pan. Pour fresh lemon juice over the filets and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes for flavors to meld.
  8. Transfer the tilapia to a serving plate, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and garnish with lemon slices if desired.

For enhanced flavor, consider marinating the fish briefly in olive oil and lemon juice before cooking.
