Description

A quick and healthy dish combining succulent shrimp and vibrant broccoli, roasted with garlic and Parmesan for an unforgettable flavor.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 4 cloves minced garlic, divided
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil, divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1.33 lbs shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Toss the broccoli florets with half the olive oil, half the minced garlic, half the Parmesan, half the dried basil, and the red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and pepper, then lay flat on a baking sheet lined with foil and roast for 10 minutes.
  3. Combine the remaining olive oil, garlic, Parmesan, basil, and red pepper flakes with the shrimp. Toss until coated.
  4. After 10 minutes, remove the baking sheet, shake to redistribute the broccoli, and add the shrimp on top. Return to the oven and cook for an additional 6-9 minutes until the shrimp turn opaque.
  5. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the dish before serving.

Notes

Consider adding smoked paprika or breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan for extra texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
