Description

Discover how to make delicious Garlic Onion Air Fryer Carrots that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Perfect for a healthy side dish!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs carrots (680 g)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil (22.5 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) fine sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) ground black pepper
  • chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel and rinse your carrots, then dry them with a towel. Cut them into pieces about an inch long, preferably at an angle.
  2. In a bowl, combine the carrot pieces with vegetable oil, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, sea salt, and ground black pepper.
  3. Spread the seasoned carrots evenly in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap.
  4. Cook in the air fryer at 380°F for 12-15 minutes, or until they are easily pierced with a fork. Add more salt and pepper if desired and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Note: Enhance the flavor by incorporating a dash of smoked paprika or cumin to the seasoning mix before coating the carrots.
  • Second note: Ensure even cooking and crispiness by spacing out the carrot pieces in the air fryer basket.
  • Third note: Adjust the texture to your liking by cooking the carrots for a few additional minutes in the air fryer until they reach the desired tenderness level.
