Description

A quick and flavorful dish that combines the sweetness of honey with zesty lime and savory garlic, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shelled and deveined shrimp
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1.5 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 dashes cayenne pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the shrimp with cold water, drain, and set aside.
  2. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Add the olive oil and melted butter.
  3. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sauté until slightly brown.
  4. Stir in the shrimp and cook until they begin to turn pink.
  5. Add honey, lime juice, salt, and cayenne pepper to the skillet.
  6. Cook until the sauce thickens, allowing flavors to meld.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For even more flavor, marinate the shrimp in honey and lime juice for about 15 minutes before cooking. Adjust cayenne pepper according to your spice tolerance.
