Description

A quick and flavorful dish featuring fresh shrimp cooked in garlic and butter.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil and half the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, ensuring it doesn’t burn.
  3. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the shrimp to the pan.
  4. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper.
  5. Cook the shrimp for 2–3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
  6. Stir in the remaining butter until melted and well combined.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley.
  8. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

For a spicier version, consider adding red pepper flakes while cooking. Serve with crusty bread to soak up the garlic butter.
