Description
A quick and flavorful dish featuring shrimp sautéed in garlic butter, served over pasta with a creamy sauce.
Ingredients
- 8 oz spaghetti or pasta of choice
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound shrimp, deveined and tails removed
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Stir in red pepper flakes (if using), then pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and the sauce thickens.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toss the cooked spaghetti in the sauce until well coated.
- Serve garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
For added flavor, consider incorporating a splash of lemon juice and adjusting the heat with red pepper flakes as desired. Keep pasta slightly firmer than al dente for better texture.
