Description

Ingredients

  • 4 tilapia fillets (fresh or frozen, thawed)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the tilapia fillets dry and drizzle with olive oil, seasoning both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the fillets in a single layer on a lined baking sheet.
  4. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  5. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, parsley, and optional paprika and Parmesan.
  7. Taste and adjust seasonings as necessary.
  8. Drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the tilapia fillets.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the fish flakes easily.
  10. Garnish with additional parsley and a fresh squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
