Ingredients
- 8 Ounce (227 g) s Pasta
- 12 Ounce (340 g) s Sliced Mushrooms
- 4 Tablespoon (60 ml) s Vegetable Oil, Divided
- 3 Cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1/2 Teaspoon (3 ml) Salt
- 1/4 Teaspoon (1 ml) Pepper
- 1/2 Cup (120 ml) Grated or Shredded Parmesan Cheese
- Parsley for Serving, Optional
Instructions
- Boil the pasta in a large pot of salted water following the package instructions. Once done, keep aside 1/4 cup of the cooking water and drain the rest.
- As the pasta cooks, heat TWO TABLESPOONS of the oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for 4-5 minutes until they start to become golden.
- Mix in the minced garlic, along with the salt and pepper, stirring continuously for an additional minute.
- Lower the heat and incorporate the remaining two tablespoons of oil, the cooked pasta, the reserved pasta water, and the Parmesan cheese. Toss everything together using tongs to ensure it is well-coated.
- Taste the dish and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve right away.
