A simple yet elegant garlic butter baked cod recipe that brings comfort and flavor to your dinner table in minutes.
Ingredients
- 4 fresh cod fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in lemon juice and remove from heat.
- Place cod fillets in the baking dish and pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over them. Season with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
