A delicious and simple dish featuring fresh cod fillets baked in a rich garlic butter sauce, perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Ingredients
- 4 fresh cod fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about one minute. Stir in lemon juice and remove from heat.
- Place the cod fillets in the greased baking dish and pour the garlic butter mixture over them.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
