Ingredients
- 1 pound Ahi Tuna steaks
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat the tuna steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter with the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Carefully place the tuna steaks in the hot skillet.
- Sear the tuna for 1-3 minutes per side, depending on your desired level of doneness. For medium-rare, sear for about 1-2 minutes per side.
