A vibrant and crunchy slaw that enhances fish tacos and burrito bowls with fresh ingredients and zesty lime.
Ingredients
- 1 small green cabbage, thinly sliced
- 2 medium carrots, grated
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Juice of 2 limes
- Salt, to taste
- Optional: hot sauce, for extra kick
Instructions
- Thinly slice the cabbage and red onion. Grate or thinly slice the carrots.
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced cabbage, carrots, red onion, and chopped cilantro.
- Squeeze the lime juice over the slaw and toss to combine.
- Taste and add salt or hot sauce if desired.
- Serve immediately as a topping for fish tacos, in burrito bowls, or as a side dish.
Notes
Allow the slaw to rest for 10-15 minutes after mixing to enhance the flavors.
