Crispy, cheesy, and just the right amount of spicy, these fiery Cajun shrimp stuffed jalapeños are perfect for family gatherings and festive occasions.
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked shrimp, finely chopped
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
- 2 tbsp melted butter (optional)
- 12 large jalapeños, halved and seeds removed
- Fresh parsley or green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, shrimp, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and salt in a bowl. Mix until smooth.
- Fill jalapeño halves with the mixture and smooth the tops with a spatula.
- Mix breadcrumbs with melted butter (if using), then sprinkle on top of the stuffed jalapeños.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or green onions and serve warm.
Notes
For extra crispiness, broil the jalapeños for the last minute or two, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
