Description

A bold appetizer with creamy cheese, tender shrimp, and spicy jalapeños that creates an unforgettable taste profile.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked shrimp, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (optional)
  • 12 large jalapeños, halved and seeds removed
  • Fresh parsley or green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, finely chopped cooked shrimp, and seasonings in a bowl. Mix until smooth.
  3. Fill jalapeño halves with the cheese and shrimp mixture, smoothing the tops.
  4. Mix breadcrumbs with melted butter in a separate bowl, then sprinkle this over the stuffed jalapeños for added crunch.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the mixture is bubbly and golden.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions before serving warm.

Notes

Use gloves when handling jalapeños to avoid irritation. Let jalapeños cool a few minutes after baking for better texture.
