Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked shrimp, finely chopped
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
- 2 tbsp melted butter (optional)
- 12 large jalapeños, halved and seeds removed
- Fresh parsley or green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, finely chopped cooked shrimp, and seasonings in a bowl. Mix until smooth.
- Fill jalapeño halves with the cheese and shrimp mixture, smoothing the tops.
- Mix breadcrumbs with melted butter in a separate bowl, then sprinkle this over the stuffed jalapeños for added crunch.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the mixture is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions before serving warm.
Notes
Use gloves when handling jalapeños to avoid irritation. Let jalapeños cool a few minutes after baking for better texture.
