Ingredients
- – 2 lb (900 g) Chicken Wings
- – 2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
- – 2 tbsp (30 ml) diced green onions
- – 3 tbsp (45 ml) paprika
- – 3 tbsp (45 ml) garlic powder
- – 1 tbsp (15 ml) black pepper
- – 1 tbsp (15 ml) Pink salt
- – 2 1/2 tbsp (37.5 ml) onion powder
- – 1 1/2 tbsp (22.5 ml) dried oregano
- – 1 tbsp (15 ml) cayenne pepper
- – 1 tbsp (15 ml) dried thyme
Instructions
- Warm up the oven to 425°F.
- Lay the wings on a paper towel and dry them thoroughly.
- In a bowl, combine the wings with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add the seasoning mix, ensuring every wing is evenly coated.
- Reserve some seasoning to sprinkle on the wings halfway through cooking for additional crispiness and taste.
- Arrange a wire rack on a baking sheet and position all the wings on the rack. (Using a wire rack helps achieve crispiness all over. If unavailable, use parchment paper on a baking sheet with the wings on top).
- Place the rack or baking sheet inside the oven.
- Bake for 15 minutes, take the wings out, sprinkle more seasoning, and turn them over.
- Return the wings to the oven to bake for another 15-20 minutes.
- Accompany with ranch dressing and green onions. For a homemade ranch recipe, refer to the notes below.
- Prepare the Air Fryer basket by applying compliant cooking spray.
- Put the seasoned wings into the basket and cook at 380 degrees for 25 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes for even cooking.
- After 25 minutes, shake the wings once more and finish by increasing the temperature to 400 degrees for an additional 5 minutes.
- Once the wings are ready, transfer them to a mixing bowl with sauce and thoroughly coat them. Serve right away.
- When the cooking is complete, remove the basket, arrange the wings on a platter, and serve immediately.
Notes
- Marinate chicken wings in seasoning mix for 30 minutes before cooking for extra flavor.
- Ensure wings reach internal temperature of 165°F using a meat thermometer for safe consumption.
- Experiment with different seasoning blends or add honey for a sweet and spicy twist.
