Description

Discover how to make extra crispy Cajun air fryer wings in just 25 minutes! This easy recipe will satisfy your cravings for flavorful wings.

Ingredients

  • – 2 lb (900 g) Chicken Wings
  • – 2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
  • – 2 tbsp (30 ml) diced green onions
  • – 3 tbsp (45 ml) paprika
  • – 3 tbsp (45 ml) garlic powder
  • – 1 tbsp (15 ml) black pepper
  • – 1 tbsp (15 ml) Pink salt
  • – 2 1/2 tbsp (37.5 ml) onion powder
  • – 1 1/2 tbsp (22.5 ml) dried oregano
  • – 1 tbsp (15 ml) cayenne pepper
  • – 1 tbsp (15 ml) dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Warm up the oven to 425°F.
  2. Lay the wings on a paper towel and dry them thoroughly.
  3. In a bowl, combine the wings with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add the seasoning mix, ensuring every wing is evenly coated.
  4. Reserve some seasoning to sprinkle on the wings halfway through cooking for additional crispiness and taste.
  5. Arrange a wire rack on a baking sheet and position all the wings on the rack. (Using a wire rack helps achieve crispiness all over. If unavailable, use parchment paper on a baking sheet with the wings on top).
  6. Place the rack or baking sheet inside the oven.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes, take the wings out, sprinkle more seasoning, and turn them over.
  8. Return the wings to the oven to bake for another 15-20 minutes.
  9. Accompany with ranch dressing and green onions. For a homemade ranch recipe, refer to the notes below.
  10. Prepare the Air Fryer basket by applying compliant cooking spray.
  11. Put the seasoned wings into the basket and cook at 380 degrees for 25 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes for even cooking.
  12. After 25 minutes, shake the wings once more and finish by increasing the temperature to 400 degrees for an additional 5 minutes.
  13. Once the wings are ready, transfer them to a mixing bowl with sauce and thoroughly coat them. Serve right away.
  14. When the cooking is complete, remove the basket, arrange the wings on a platter, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Marinate chicken wings in seasoning mix for 30 minutes before cooking for extra flavor.
  • Ensure wings reach internal temperature of 165°F using a meat thermometer for safe consumption.
  • Experiment with different seasoning blends or add honey for a sweet and spicy twist.
