A rich, sweet, and slightly salty sauce that enhances grilled fish, sushi rolls, and various dishes.

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup Mirin
  • ⅓ cup Granulated Sugar
  • ⅓ cup Soy Sauce

Instructions

  1. Combine equal parts mirin, soy sauce, and granulated sugar in a saucepan.
  2. Stir the mixture gently to mix the ingredients.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
  4. Reduce the heat and let it simmer, stirring occasionally, until it reduces, about 10 minutes.
  5. Allow the sauce to cool before storing in an airtight container.

Notes

Adjust sweetness by varying the sugar. Experiment with flavors like ginger or garlic for a unique twist.
