Description

A comforting and hearty beef stew made effortlessly in a crockpot, perfect for busy evenings.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into chunks
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 3 potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Add the beef stew meat, carrots, potatoes, onion, and garlic to a crockpot.
  2. Mix together the beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, bay leaf, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl.
  3. Pour the mixture over the beef and vegetables in the crockpot.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the beef is tender.
  5. Remove the bay leaf before serving.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with crusty bread or mashed potatoes.

Notes

For a thicker stew, add a cornstarch slurry during the last hour of cooking. Customize the vegetables based on your preference.
