Description

A quick and flavorful cod dish marinated in tangy ginger soy sauce, perfect for a busy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 4 cod fillets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional sides: rice, veggies, or sweet potatoes

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, ginger, honey, garlic, and sesame oil to make the marinade.
  2. Season the cod fillets with salt and pepper.
  3. Marinate the cod in the mixture for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Heat a pan over medium heat and add a little oil.
  5. Add the cod fillets and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until flaky and cooked through.
  6. Serve the cod over rice, veggies, or sweet potatoes.

Notes

For an extra flavor boost, reserve a portion of the marinade before adding it to the fish and use it as a drizzle over the finished dish.
