Description
A quick and flavorful cod dish marinated in tangy ginger soy sauce, perfect for a busy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 4 cod fillets
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons grated ginger
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional sides: rice, veggies, or sweet potatoes
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, ginger, honey, garlic, and sesame oil to make the marinade.
- Season the cod fillets with salt and pepper.
- Marinate the cod in the mixture for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and add a little oil.
- Add the cod fillets and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until flaky and cooked through.
- Serve the cod over rice, veggies, or sweet potatoes.
Notes
For an extra flavor boost, reserve a portion of the marinade before adding it to the fish and use it as a drizzle over the finished dish.
