Description

A delightful blend of shrimp and spaghetti in a creamy, spicy sauce that is easy to prepare and perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 12 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 ½ pounds medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 teaspoons paprika
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 ½ teaspoons dried parsley
  • ⅔ cup light mayonnaise
  • ½ cup Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 2-3 additional cloves of garlic, minced
  • ½ tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • -¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the light mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, minced garlic, honey, sriracha sauce, lime juice, and red pepper flakes. Mix well to create your sauce and set it aside.
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to the package directions. Drain it, then return it to the pot and cover to keep warm.
  3. In a medium bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, paprika, black pepper, and the minced garlic.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly until they turn pink and are fully cooked.
  5. Combine the cooked shrimp with the spaghetti in the pot, then add about two-thirds of your prepared sauce. Toss everything to combine thoroughly, and sprinkle with dried parsley.
  6. Serve with the remaining sauce on the side.

Notes

Taste the sauce before combining it with the pasta and shrimp for adjustments. Garnish with fresh parsley and lime wedges for added flavor.
